摘要: Abstract An alteration in the chromatographic mobility of 30S ribosomal protein S4 from two kasugamycin-resistant (ksgA) strains E. coli was observed. The locus determining this frequently cotransduced with ksgA but could be separated it by transduction and conjugation. Since structural gene for is thought to lie some 30 min on chromosome, product newly-identified may modify S4. We propose designate ramB. Reconstitution subunits RNA components ramB ksgA+ramB+ demonstrated that resistance kasugamycin due altered 16S not undermethylated, a methylating enzyme acts present ksgA+ strains.
