摘要: The paper presents an analysis of a genetic and morphological variation Dacnomys millardi from seven Vietnamese localities, including new finding southern Vietnam which lies some 1000 km to the south currently known limit species range. Samples northern do not differ significantly in their cranial oversize characteristics. Surprisingly, they are quite similar genetically as well. distances between samples very low exceed 0.0232 for cyt b, 0.0058 subunit I cytochrome oxidase gene, 0.0019 interphotoreceptor retinoid-binding protein, 0.0017 recombination activation factor gene. A overall diversity D. could reflect its ecological specialization, well population bottleneck or colonization history eastern Indochina.
