摘要: Since the first report of successful pancreatic islet transplantation to reverse hyperglycaemia in diabetic rodents, there has been great interest determining optimal site for implantation. Although portal vein remains most frequently used clinically, it is not ideal. About half islets introduced into liver die during or shortly after transplantation. many patients achieve insulin independence infusion islets, long term resume injections.
