Numerical and experimental study on expansion forming of inner grooved tube

摘要: Abstract Inner grooved copper tubes have attracted more and attention in recent years. In mass production of tube–fin heat exchanger plates ACR (air conditioning refrigeration) industry, mechanical expansion is a key forming process which joins the fins to tubes. During process, spiral grooves inside tube with thermally efficient geometries are deformed joints influenced by groove layer. this paper, studied effect shape on quality analyzed. Experiments performed different types. FE (finite element) model developed. Influences geometry parameters, such as height ratio, apex helix angle, strength well wall thinning investigated. Sections observed die joining status examined. The results indicate that angle has significant reduction while ratio main factor influencing deformation resistant force; outer diameter radius front part expanding influence status.
