Strategy for the long term: pressures, counter-pressures and mechanisms in governance

摘要: Abstract This special issue analyses and reflects on relations between long term perspectives strategies in governance. While dismissing high modernist planning acknowledging constraints to long-term policies, the different contributions this volume, each their own way, contend that strategy is necessary face challenges of our times. The fifteen articles highlight aspects possibilities limits governance, turn into reality. They all examine how long- issues are constituted by governance practices emerge rather policy contexts, which points need better understand diverse interplay strategy, patterns integration.
