摘要: Anticancer-related adverse events, particularly chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, are significant problems for both healthcare professionals patients. The use of alternative medicine is receiving more recognition control such events as an adjunct therapy along with administration anti-emetics. This chapter examines the current available research evidence on efficacy acupuncture moxibustion reducing anticancer treatment-induced vomiting well safety treatments, searching major databases resulted in four systematic reviews three new trials being identified reviewed. These supports acupoint-stimulation adult pediatric cancer patients very low risk serious events. Concerning different stimulation methods, acupressure pericardium meridian demonstrate reasonably strong severity acute nausea. Electroacupuncture can alleviate vomiting. In contrast, manual non-invasive methods fail to provide effect. A meta-analysis two small-scale studies showed significantly beneficial effects but further large-scale needed indisputable recommendations practice. Overall, well-designed a large sample size developing solid base that promotes care.
