摘要: Abstract Many studies have concluded that roof harvested rainwater is susceptible to chemical and microbial contamination. The aim of the study was thus conduct a preliminary investigation into efficiency closed-coupled solar pasteurization system in reducing microbiological load determine change components after pasteurization. temperature pasteurized tank water samples collected ranged from 55 57 °C, 64 66 °C, 72 74 °C, 78 81 °C 90 91 °C. Cations analyzed were within drinking guidelines, with exception iron [195.59 μg/L (55 °C)–170.1 μg/L (91 °C)], aluminum [130.98 μg/L (78 °C)], lead [12.81 μg/L (55 °C)–13.2 μg/L (91 °C)] nickel [46.43 μg/L (55 °C)–32.82 μg/L which detected at levels above respective guidelines samples. Indicator bacteria including, heterotrophic bacteria, Escherichia coli total coliforms reduced below detection limit temperatures 72 °C above. However, use molecular techniques Yersinia spp., Legionella spp. Pseudomonas greater than 72 °C. viability this higher ranges should be assessed before used as potable source. In addition, it recommended storage constructed an alternative material, other stainless steel, order for implemented produce large quantities rainwater.
