摘要: In this study, DDT-induced DNA damage on blood cells was analyzed both in vitro and vivo. Peripheral mononuclear (PBMC) were isolated from healthy donors incubated the presence of three different concentrations (40, 80, 100 microg/mL) p,p'-DDT, p,p'-DDE, p,p'-DDD at treatment times (24, 48, 72 h). Then, assessed by single-cell electrophoresis assay (comet assay) as well flow cytometry detection hypodiploid (DNA content assay). All compounds induced significant shown comet assay. Accordingly, exposed to DDT, DDE, DDD showed a increase percentage compared with untreated PBMC. agreement data, correlation between levels DDD, DDE found women amounts environmental exposure. This association remained after controlling for nutritional status, smoking habits, alcohol ingestion, reported exposure other pesticides. Although precise biological importance remains be explained, our results strongly suggest that DDT its metabolites are able induce PBMC
