摘要: Leishmania major is the causative agent and Phlebotomus papatasi main vector of rural zoonotic cutaneous leishmaniasis (ZCL) in Iran elsewhere. Nested PCR protocols were used to amplify a region ribosomal RNA amplicon (ITS1-5.8S rRNA gene) female P. papatasi. In current investigation, L. was found Natanz, Isfahan province centre Iran, focus ZCL. Ten (1.8%) out 549 be infected with based on detection sequencing parasite ITS-rDNA. Nine 498 came from animal shelters, inside houses yards. And one (1.9%) 51 gerbil borrows. Infection rates higher for females containing red blood meals, large eggs (semi-mature mature) than those without either meals or eggs. From 10 infections detected three different haplotypes identified. Two novel. The other identical that isolates elsewhere using GenBank data. Comparisons infection between habitats will inaccurate when proportions blood-fed gravid flies differ among sandfly samples.
