摘要: Liquid crystal nanoparticles using the low molecular weight liquid E7 are prepared by a miniemulsion approach with droplet size between 180 and 630 nm. The sizes of droplets in this work one smallest ever reported for crystals, they considerably dependent on type amount surfactant used, as well hexadecane. Furthermore, behavior confined to small is investigated. DSC measurements reveal large shift nematic-isotropic phase transition temperature. Further investigations carried out AFM showing that these particles have an order molecules within droplets. Light scattering yield temperature dependence anisotropy temporal stability An effect director fluctuations dynamic depolarized was found.
