摘要: The synthesis and characterization of organic nanoparticles composed a polymer network azobenzene moieties capable reproducible, photoinduced mechanical actuation are reported. molecules within the undergo co-ordinated, reversible isomerization between cis- trans- conformations in response to ultraviolet visible electromagnetic radiation, resulting 20% height contraction adsorbed on substrate. kinetics as function light intensity duration reported closely match molecular photoisomerization. results support proposed mechanism co-ordinated conformational changes observable nanoscale actuation.
