摘要: HISTORICAL LAND COVER IMPACTS ON WATER QUALITY IN THE PROVO RIVER WATERSHED, 1975-2002 Fredric J. Donaldson Department of Geography Master Science The Provo River watershed has experienced land cover change over the past several decades. Land influences water quality inasmuch as determines type and quantity non-point source (NPS) pollutants that may enter water. This study examines historical impacts changes on in using remote sensing statistical analysis. Statistical correlations linear regressions were used to relationship between various types variables for six years 1975 2002. thesis supports research finding myriad urban quality. also revealed increasing pH, alkalinity, bicarbonate levels are likely related urbanization watershed.
