摘要: Background: Associations between ABO blood groups and risk of several malignancies have been reported, although there are limited data regarding hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The aim this study was to investigate any possible association the genotype, especially group A, HCC in Koreans. Materials Methods: We conducted a case-control 1,538 patients with newly diagnosed at Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital 1,305 randomly selected members general population. genotype determined by multicolor real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using displacing probes. Adjusted odds ratios (aORs) their 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated logistic regression models adjustment for gender, age, smoking, alcohol drinking, hepatitis B C status. Results: AA significantly higher than OO (aOR=1.773, CI=1.161-2.705). A also O (aOR=1.448, CI=1.005 1.897). No significant difference found AA, BO, BB, AB genotypes, or AB. Conclusions: Blood showed highest risks Korean AO,
