摘要: Stark broadening analysis of high‐n Balmer series transitions (n=10→2) is benchmarked against electron density measurements from a Thomson scattering system in the divertor region DIII‐D tokamak. The time‐averaged data show ne = 6.0±0.5×1020 m−3 low Te (∼1 eV) detached plasma. Analysis measured broadened line widths using conventional theory gives 6.7±1.3×1020 m−3.
