A 32-year perspective on the origin of wind energy in a warming climate

摘要: Abstract Based on assimilated meteorological data for the period January 1979 to December 2010, origin of wind energy is investigated from both mechanical and thermodynamic perspectives, with special focus spatial distribution sources, historical long-term variations efficiency kinetic production. The dry air component atmosphere acts as a thermal engine, absorbing heat at higher temperatures, approximately 256 K, releasing lower 252 K. process responsible production rate 2.46 W/m2 sustaining thus circulation against frictional dissipation. results indicate an upward trend in over past 32 years, indicating that resources may be varying current warming climate. This analysis provides analytical framework can adopted future studies addressing ultimate potential possible perturbations atmospheric could arise result significant exploitation energy.
