摘要: We used ceria-based catalysts to reduce the soot combustion temperature from 600 °C values included in operation range of diesel exhausts (270–400 °C). synthesized CeO2–ZrO2 by sol–gel method and effectively deposited mixed oxide on cordierite. confirmed structural morphological properties material formation oxides N2 adsorption/desorption isotherms, temperature-programmed reduction, oxygen storage capacity, scanning transmission electron microscopies. investigated how addition Ru nanoparticles (0.5 wt%) affected catalytic activity Ce0.4Zr0.6O2 terms oxidation. Thermal analyses oxidation presence catalyst revealed that decreased 250 average. This result indicates species originated at low temperatures, accounting for high reactivity toward combustion. assessed fresh recycled supported a stationary engine motor conducted comparative analysis final impregnated paper filters diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. were able use several cycles (three times 40 min); we did not detect loss after recycling, retained its properties. Our data demonstrated can reuse efficiently oxidize soot, as attested thermal analysis. Moreover, this reduced emissions more than 84 % according dynamic tests engine.
