摘要: Marine concrete structures are prone to deterioration by the corrosion of internal steel reinforcing bars. This article reports on a study carried out investigate bars and steel-concrete interface in comparing various surface conditions bars, such as mill-scaled (M), polished (P), brown-rusted (BR), black-rusted (BL), pre-passivated (PP). Other variables were considered possible ways improve interface, including PP, revibration after casting, insertion casting. The specimens exposed an artificially created accelerated marine exposure tested for chloride ingress into at regular interval. Steel-concrete interfaces examined scanning electron microscope (SEM) check nature with variation condition casting method. Results showed that application cement paste coat over bar remarkably dense compared other types investigated, therefore significantly improved threshold level. M produced most investigated. Revibration causes slight improvement mechanical properties concrete; however, it relatively earlier due formation micro-crevices interface.
