摘要: A patient with homocystinuria presenting fatal cerebral infarction that resulted from left common carotid artery occlusion is reported. This 13-year-old, healthy and intelligent girl presented progressive infarction. Angiography revealed total of the stenosis right artery. Distal bilateral vertebral arteries was also observed. Initially Takayasu arteritis unusual manifestation considered. However, later investigations underlying cause. The sudden onset stroke as initial clinical presentation homocystinuria, observed in this previous teenager, noteworthy. We suggest metabolic screening for when treating a vascular lesions.
