摘要: Tachyarrhythmias of the heart can be due to presence one or more spiral waves electrical activity. Spiral were simulated using a previously described ionic model cardiac action potentials in 75 x network compartments. The compartments connected by means resistors and made isotropic order catch basic properties waves. cross-field stimulation technique was used generate single double analysis showed that wave created when second excitation front became critically curved, wake preceding wave, so decremental propagation occurred. A could also generated from circulating around an obstacle size suddenly reduced. steadily circled area with excitable but unexcited cells. An undisturbed medium stable pathway, drifted along borders cells non-excitable. within existing new interacted each other formed complex patterns. sudden prolongation refractory period reduced central pathway only slightly prolonged revolution time. further extinguished tip invaded areas. compartment accurately produce line experimental results reported others.
