摘要: Abstract In the present study, biosorption of chromium (Cr(VI)) ions and Naphthol blue black (NBB) dye using Moringa oleifera seed pods powder (MPP) as green biosorbent was investigated. Three different sizes MPP viz. fine fraction ( 250 μm) mixed were The characterized by pHzpc, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) in order to get an insight surface charge, functional groups, morphology biosorbent, respectively. studies conducted with Cr(VI) NBB parameters, such solution pH, contact time, initial concentration pollutant, adsorbent dosage co-existing examined. Experimental results revealed that maximum removal observed at pH 1 2, respectively equilibrium achieved ca. 180 min. efficiency fine, coarse 91.8, 74.9, 52.6%, respectively, whereas for dye, same fractions 97.5, 33.6, 18.9%, influenced presence competing ions. isotherm kinetic data best correlated Langmuir pseudo-second model, Column also studying flow rates adsorbates concentrations check practical applicability removing target metal pollutants.
