摘要: Objective To determine the incidence of sepsis in patients with heterotaxy syndrome. Study design From our institutional database, we identified syndrome and other complex congenital heart disease (CHD) born between 2001 2011. Severe bacterial infection was defined as positive culture result or abscess formation. Results We enrolled 95 (88 right atrial isomerism 7 left isomerism) 142 CHD. With 1026 person-years follow-up, 5-year survival 52% 65.7% CHD groups, respectively ( P = .239). Community-acquired severe occurred only (13 episodes 10 patients, 3 whom had spleen noted at imaging study) 2- 5 years cumulative rate 9.6% 14.5%, respectively. The overall mortality those community-acquired 31%. Pneumococcus Citrobacter freundii were most common pathogens. Nosocomial 33.3% all 12.5% procedures. rates (0.59 0.52/100 hospitalization days group) pathogens nosocomial similar groups. Conclusions Patients are high risk for also have whether is present not. seems to that
