摘要: The tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) is a member of the TNF superfamily that can initiate apoptosis through activation their death receptors. ability TRAIL to selectively induce transformed or cells but not normal promotes development TRAIL-based cancer therapy. Accumulating preclinical studies demonstrate effectively cell apoptosis. Completed and ongoing Phases I II clinical trials using are showing clinically promising outcomes without significant toxicity. Importantly, TRAIL, DR4 DR5 all be induced by chemotherapeutics and/or radiation, which sensitize TRAIL. Thus, understanding regulation pathway help develop more selective agents for treatment human cancer.
