摘要: Reactive gliosis induced by metabolic disturbances and development of oxidative stress in the retina at diabetes mellitus is key pathogenetic factor for diabetic retinopathy. Fullerene C60 some its water-soluble derivates are known as rather potent antioxidants displaying neuroprotective capacities during a number pathologies harmful influences on organism. In our study, effects nanostructures hydrated fullerene (C60HyFn) content polypeptide composition glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) rat under conditions streptozotocin (STZ)-induced were evaluated first time. Using immunoblotting, strong (more than twofold) up-regulation GFAP expression retina, compared with control, was shown (P < 0.01). This result activation retinal cells hyperglycemia. Increased immunolabeling that indicative reactive rats also confirmed immunohystochemically. Consumption C60HyFn solution (60 nM) drinking water 12 weeks caused significant decrease level comparison untreated animals 0.05). addition, statistically lowering glycated hemoglobin concentration blood serum STZ-diabetic However, it exerted no insulin glucose levels rats. Our results demonstrated potential high-efficacy retinoprotective agent within initial period retinopathy; significantly suppresses macroglia.
