摘要: The distribution of trimethoprim (TMP) and sulfadiazine (SDZ) into subcutaneously implanted noninfected tissue chambers was studied in healthy adult ponies. Six ponies were given an oral TMP/SDZ paste formulation at a dose 5 mg/kg TMP 25 SDZ 12 h intervals for 2 days order to reach steady-state concentrations. Plasma concentrations chamber fluid (TCF) both drugs measured regular during period commencing 24 after the last administration. peak concentration (mean +/- SD) 2.92 0.86 microg/mL plasma 1.09 0.25 TCF. For SDZ, mean 40.20 14.74 23.48 5.84 reached 3.17 03.48 those TCF 7.33 03.72 h. 1.83 02.04 8.00 03.10 Concentrations remained above generally accepted breakpoint susceptibility (0.5/9.5 combination) Therefore, administration rate 30 twice daily form should be appropriate effective treatment infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
