摘要: Despite clear consensus and strong recommendations, vaccination rates of kidney transplant (KT) recipients have remained below targets. As is most effective if it given prior to transplantation the initiation immunosuppression, patients should ideally their status assessed optimized in pre-transplant period. We performed a retrospective chart review characterize factors associated with gaps single-center population waitlisted being evaluated for transplantation. 362 KT patients. Three-quarters were receiving dialysis at time evaluation. Immunization low 35.9% having completed Pneumococcus, 55% influenza, 6.9% zoster, 2.5% tetanus. On multivariable analysis, who received other vaccines, including tetanus, or zoster vaccine (odds ratio [OR] 10.55, 95% confidence interval [CI] 5.65-19.71) more likely receive pneumococcal vaccine. Blacks (OR 0.24, CI 0.12-0.47) less compared whites. Patients on dialysis, those active waiting list than groups 2.81, 1.44-5.51, OR 1.84, 1.08-3.14, respectively). found that overall immunization rate against common vaccine-preventable infections was among A significant gap remains between recommendations uptake clinical practice this high-risk population.
