摘要: Purpose/objectives To determine differences in psychological distress, symptoms, coping capacity, and abilities among African American (AA) women with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) non-TNBC to explore relationships these variables. . Design A prospective, descriptive, comparative, correlational design. Setting Johns Hopkins Hospital Baltimore, Maryland. Sample 30 AA cancer. Methods Patients completed questionnaires during chemotherapy. The Transactional Model of Stress Coping was used guide the research. Main research variables Psychological ability. Findings reported more intense present total pain, nausea vomiting, better emotional functioning, lower cognitive use significantly prayer hope, self-statements. capacity score associated distress TNBC group at midpoint both groups completion chemotherapy treatment. a higher level positive religious coping. Conclusions might benefit (reduced improved skills) from receiving comprehensive care program. findings can be incorporated tested strategy Implications for nursing Nurses should work closely undergoing help them identify consciously strategies increased capacity.
