摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the occurrence and developmental significance of gene amplification. One most important problems to be solved concerns mechanism by virtue which specific DNA sequences are replicated locally. In principle, two general mechanisms can envisaged. The amplified rDNA could a replica one or more chromosomal nucleolar organizer. represents classic amplification theory. originate from copies carried in cytoplasm germ line cells.
