摘要: Pseudomonas aeruginosa cells growing in minimal medium were 40-fold more sensitive to Ni2+ than enriched medium, suggesting a possible protective role of ingredients. Likewise, pre-grown showed high Km (6.15 mM) and increased uptake (950 nmol mg−1 protein, 1h) over pre-sown (Km, 0.48 mM; 146 1 h). The overall pattern indicates that characterized by having lowered affinity towards those with background. enhanced medium-grown can be correlated the improved metabolic state cells. was optimum at neutrality (pH 7.0). A major transport system competitively inhibited Mg2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, or Co2+ (400 μM each). Noticeably, minor pathway still operative even higher concentration range Mg2+ (4 mM 40 mM). stimulation monitored presence different carbon sources (0.5% wt/vol, each) sequence: glucose (1.6-fold) > phenol = gallic acid (1.5-fold). Succinate, comparison, reduced (0.5-fold) possibly because its acting as metal chelator well. Sensitivity methyl viologen, azide, 2-4 DNP, DCCD suggested energy-linked.
