摘要: Airway inflammation, one of the major factors leading to lung damage in cystic fibrosis (CF) patients, is associated with an abnormal increase proinflammatory cytokines. In this work, we demonstrate increased release cytokines after lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulation: human interleukin (hIL)-8 CF and non-CF airway xenografts, hIL-6 growth-related oncogene-alpha (hGRO-alpha), which could be only analyzed xenografts. Under basal conditions, observed that hIL-8 was higher xenografts compared non-CF. We also report anti-inflammatory effect a glucocorticoid, fluticasone propionate (FP), on epithelium using humanized model inflammation developed nude mice. tracheal induced by inoculating Pseudomonas aeruginosa LPS (4 h; 1 microg/ml) lumen FP pretreatment (2 10(-8) M) followed P. stimulation significant reduction LPS-induced liquid collected from (85 80%, respectively). treatment before decrease hGRO-alpha. From these data, suggest exerts properties may appropriate therapy, at early stage disease. addition, results provides relevant tool for analyzing effects drugs different diseases implicated.
