摘要: The aim of the present study was to compare six media, three selective and nonselective determine best combination media for primary isolation Helicobacter pylori. Over a period 8 months, mucosal antral biopsy specimens were obtained from 97 dyspeptic patients undergoing endoscopy. Biopsy samples plated in parallel on all media. Egg yolk emulsion agar (EYE), Skirrow's medium modified Thayer-Martin used as media; chocolate (MCHOC), Triptycase Soy Agar (TSA) brain heart infusion Overall, by using these H. pylori recovered 48 patients, yielding an rate 49%. Comparison possible combinations showed that highest 100% (48 48) with EYE-MCHOC, followed 97% (47 when EYE-SK used. Conversely, it found none alone yielded recovery (the maximum 92%, which achieved EYE). These results indicate association EYE MCHOC gastric specimens. Therefore, use offers optimal rates only slight increase costs.
