摘要: Abstract This chapter presents an overview of the growth and optical properties (Section 10.2) some in vitro applications 3C–SiC-based nanowires (NWs). We show cytocompatibility cellular internalization mechanisms core–shell SiC–SiO2 NWs (Section 10.3), application conjugated with organic photosensitizer for X-ray-excited photodynamic therapy (Section 10.4), and, finally, characterization NW substrates biological environment following ISO 10993 standard (Section 10.5). Our results highlight that: (1) such do not elicit cytotoxic activity leading to irreversible damage or death; (2) hybrid NW–porphyrin nanosystem is validated view deep cancer oncotherapy; (3) platforms can be used as a biomimetic biomaterial cell cultures, providing biocompatible interface. Experiments platelet-rich plasma indicate that SiC induce higher platelet activation compared bare NWs, which may exploited implantable prosthetic devices.
