摘要: Herpetic stromal disease often is treated with combinations of antiviral agents and corticosteroids. The addition steroids to the treatment regimen frequently increases efficacy therapy in patients; however, many complications may arise as a result corticosteroid therapy. Using rabbit model, effects trifluridine (F3TdR) on corneal edema were examined when combined each three immunosuppressive agents. therapeutic response was evaluated by classifying eyes either responsive or unresponsive based maximum thickness attained during data indicate that about 56% responded 1% F3TdR alone even initiated after signs inflammation had begun appear epithelial resolving. Combination 0.125% prednisolone acetate significantly increased proportion 78%. Therapy topical 5% cyclosporine A no better than alone, combination 0.2% deoxycoformycin 0.4% 2'-deoxyadenosine decreased eyes. These further document responses must be an eye-by-eye basis because distribution not Gaussian nature. Eyes induced herpes simplex viral (HSV) infection respond but others require steroid. Still do Combining all given group obtain "population mean" misleading.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
