摘要: Epilepsy, one of the most frequent neurological disorders, represents a group diseases that have in common clinical occurrence seizures. The pathogenesis different types epilepsy involves many important biological pathways; some which been shown to be regulated by microRNAs (miRNAs). In this paper, we will critically review relevant studies regarding role miRNAs epilepsy. Overall, type adult population is temporal lobe (TLE), and form associated with mesial sclerosis (MTS), called TLE, particularly due high frequency resistance treatment. There are several target studies, as well few genome-wide miRNA expression profiling reporting abnormal tissue MTS, both patients animal models. these show fine correlation between regulation/dysregulation inflammation, seizure-induced neuronal death other pathways. Furthermore, dynamically during neurogenesis its dysregulation may play process cerebral corticogenesis leading malformations cortical development (MCD), represent major causes drug-resistant addition, there reports involved cell proliferation, fate specification maturation processes tightly linked MCD. Large-scale analyzes models induced status epilepticus demonstrated changes selected thought regulation death, synaptic reorganization, neuroinflammation neural excitability. knocking-down specific animals consist promising therapeutic intervention.
