摘要: Detail-in-context lens techniques can be useful for exploring visualizations of data spaces that are too large or have much detail to fit in regular displays. For example, by bending the space right way we bring together details from two separate areas easy comparison while roughly keeping context situates each area within global space. While these powerful tools, they also introduce distortions need understood, and often tools disabled order access undistorted data. We undistort lens, a complement existing distortion-based provides local presentation original geometry without affecting any lenses currently used presentation. The is designed allow interactive underlying distorted space, enable better understanding distortions. paper describes implementation generic back-mapping mechanism enables arbitrary distortion based techniques, including those presented literature. provide series use-case scenarios demonstrate situations which technique lenses.
