摘要: The choice of an internal fixation system for maxillofacial surgery is made difficult because lack information with respect to functional load. This study attempted clarify some the controversy use these implants. Maximal compressive force torque values were measured in standardized bone thicknesses 1, 2, 3, and 4 mm. screws tested pretapped AO 1.5-, 2.0-, 2.7-, 3.5-mm rescue self-tapping Luhr, Champy, 1.5- 2.0-mm screws. Ten measurements each screw type/bone thickness combination using a piezoelectric washer screwdriver. It was apparent that 1- 2-mm resulted highest compression values. In 3- 4-mm thicknesses, offered As expected, had on insertion owing loss cutting threads. 2.7-mm no advantage over but higher thicknesses.
