摘要: Abstract The sugar surfactants are a relatively new class of surfactants. So far, although there have been number reports about their syntheses, the studies physical chemical properties and interaction with DNA limited. In present paper, we synthesized three glucosylammonium surfactants, same hydrophobic alkyl chain (dodecyl) different counter ions (propanedioate, succinate adipate). We found that these could decrease surface tension water to ca. 30 mN/m played an important role in surfactant aggregation. propanedioate as ion has greatest preference be adsorbed at water/air surface, while lowest critical micelle concentration. Moreover, interacts strongest adipate weakest. addition, moiety can shield charge surfactant/DNA aggregates very effectively; ζ potential for DNA/glucosylammonium is 20 mV (which usually higher than 40 mV DNA/cationic aggregates).
