摘要: Background: Atherosclerosis is the most common cause for heart attack and stroke. In last decade, several epidemiological studies have found an association between periodontal infection atherosclerosis. The aim of this research was to determine possible chronic disease severity Materials Methods: Eighty‑two subjects that were referred Chamran Heart Hospital in Isfahan angiography involved study. Fifty‑nine had coronary artery obstruction (CAO) 23 showed no after angiography. CAO assessed. Periodontal parameters including pocket depth (PD), gingival recession (R), clinical attachment level (CAL), bleeding on probing (BOP) all recorded. decayed‑missing‑filled (DMF) index also measured. For statistical analysis, Pearson correlation test, Chi‑square, independent t‑test used. Results: There significant positive variables R, PD, CAL, decayed (D), missing (M), DMF, BOP, degree CAO. However, there differences filling variable (left anterior descending, left circumflex, right artery). Independent mean AL, D, M, DMF patients with obstructed arteries significantly higher than without But F two groups. Conclusion: results cross‑section analytical study dental measured by must not interpret as a effect relationship. Key Words: Angiography, association, obstruction,
