摘要: A 40-year-old woman was referred to our hospital with severe hypovolemic shock and anasarca. The laboratory findings showed marked hemoconcentration a decrease in total serum protein the presence of monoclonal IgG-lambda. She had similar episode generalized edema 2 years previously. We diagnosed patient as having typical systemic capillary leak syndrome (SCLS) she improved gradually after infusion albumin-containing fluid. SCLS is very rare condition caused by unexplained episodic hyperpermeability. Its treatment has remained largely supportive prognosis generally poor. Awareness necessary for improvement outcome.
