摘要: Despite continued effort for last few decades, there are no effective therapies available to treat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). This is, in part, due the multi-factorial nature of disease, which makes it difficult with a single drug targeted at specific factor, pathway or mechanism. In ensuing chapter, we discuss potential therapeutic action Withania somnifera extracts ALS pathogenesis. somnifera, is commonly known as Ashwagandha, has been used traditional medical systems India, China and some middle-eastern countries past 3000 years. The most common use plant extract rejuvenator, but also possesses potent anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-neoplastic, immunomodulatory properties. Based on these, numerous diseases, including neurodegenerative various degrees efficacy. this shall present rationale considering its constituents possibility ALS.
