摘要: Abstract Nanocrystalline GdAlO3−δ powders were prepared by means of solid state-reaction process. The parent compound GdAlO3 (δ=0.0) has a broad electronic band gap 5.0 eV and do not present photoluminescence (PL) emission. This work aims to study the effect introduction oxygen deficiencies in compounds on establishing PL signal. XRD patterns revealed that all samples an orthorhombic structure with absence structural transition when increasing δ. optical exposed very intense green emission, observed at room temperature centered 530 nm using 350 nm excitation line. emission was related doubly ionized vacancy VO••, created compounds, which may be responsible for formation intermediary energy levels into gap.
