摘要: Ommaya reservoirs are an important surgical therapy for the chronic intrathecal administration of chemotherapy patients with leptomeningeal carcinomatosis. Surgical accuracy is paramount in these typically normal sized ventricles, and may be improved stereotactic guidance. This paper aimed to review a large series catheter placements, examining complications. We conducted retrospective 109 consecutive adult who underwent placement carcinomatosis or central nervous system lymphoma at Columbia University Medical Center, USA, from 1998-2013. The rate accurate ventricular was 99%, only poor position due post-placement migration. peri-operative complications 6.4%. Hemorrhagic occurred thrombocytopenia therapeutic anti-coagulation pre-operatively during post-operative period. Use stereotaxy safe effective, should considered when placing into non-hydrocephalic ventricles.
