摘要: Abstract Background Mucinous breast carcinoma is characterized by the production of variable amounts mucin. Some studies have addressed immunohistochemical characterization mucinous using a limited set antibodies. However, purpose present study was to investigate larger panel markers not widely used in daily practice and determine their pathological implications. Methods Forty patients diagnosed with were enrolled. An performed on whole sections paraffin embedded tissue, antibodies for following markers: estrogen receptor alpha beta, progesterone receptor, androgen HER2, EGFR, Ki-67, E-cadherin, β-catenin, p53, chromogranin, synaptophysin, GCDFP15, mammaglobin, CDX2. Results The pure type more prevalent older frequently expressed GCDFP15. Capella B presented high Ki-67 index neuroendocrine differentiation. Although there lower frequency vascular invasion lymph node metastases type, difference statistically significant. No case CDX2 (a marker gastrointestinal tumors), while 85% cases at least one two typical (GCDFP15 mammaglobin), suggesting that these may be reliably differential diagnosis. Expression beta related presence mucin cell producing metastasis, potential prognostic predictive value. Conclusion our findings support homogeneity carcinomas because only minor differences found when subgrouping them into types A or mixed.
