摘要: Abstract In view of the recycling aluminium scrap for automotive sheet application, we have investigated solidification behaviour AA5754 alloy containing additional amounts impurity elements such as Si, Fe, and Cu. Ingot casts with a high content resulted in coarse α-Al dendrites complex-shaped secondary phases. A large volume Chinese script needle-type Fe-bearing intermetallic phases were observed to form at centre an ingot. addition grain-boundary eutectic, spherically shaped rosette-type eutectic within Al grain high-impurity alloy. The more uniform size distribution intermetallics Al–Ti–B refined is attributed presence fraction boundaries which distributes liquid where forced nucleate grow.
