摘要: • The four-year incidence and progression of retinopathy were investigated in a population-based sample people with diabetes diagnosed at 30 years age or older. For insulin users, 73 (47%) the 154 who did not have any first visit developed it interval, 31 (7%) 418 free proliferative it. Worsening occurred total 34% (142/418). nonusers insulin, corresponding rates (110/320) for retinopathy, 2% (11/486) developing 25% (121/486) worsening. These data clearly indicate risk worsening short interval (four years) large proportion older-onset diabetes, group previously thought to be relatively protected from retinopathy.
