摘要: Larval and juvenile barramundi, Lates calcarifer (Bloch), were reared intensively on test diets comprising nutritionally supplemented unsupplemented rotifers, Brachionus plicatilis Muller, brine shrimp, Artemia salina L. Both growth survival of barramundi larvae fed shrimp superior to those untreated shrimp. Barramundi incorporating exhibited a mortality syndrome which commenced from 20 30 days after hatching resulted in almost total within the next 10 days. Analyses proximate, fatty acid amino composition live food organisms used diets, reference samples egg yolk extensively suggest that this was primarily associated with organisms, particularly relative amount 20:5n-3 larvae.
