Zinc, calcium, and magnesium concentrations in milk from American and Egyptian women throughout the first 6 months of lactation.

摘要: Effects of stage lactation nutrient intake and cultural differences on the composition human milk were examined during 1st 6 months in American Egyptian women. In both population groups zinc levels decreased from 1 to lactation. women supplemented with Zn had higher their than did unsupplemented or Concentrations calcium magnesium not significantly different except at month Ca increased 2-3 then months; Mg concentrations 3 reached a plateau. Similarities longitudinal decrease observed subjects suggested physiological regulation. (authors)
