摘要: Emulab’s PlanetLab portal, hereafter known as the “portal,” provides access to large-scale, geographically distributed resources of testbed using integrated Emulab interface. The portal sophisticated resource allocation, configuration, and management services, while hiding from user underlying low-level detail complexity provisioning failure management. Moreover, it does so minimizing impact on system. In process creating this tracking PlanetLab’s evolving third-party service API, we identified several key issues in design such platforms systems built top them. This paper uses our a basis for discussing these issues, presents lessons have learned during its implementation.
