摘要: The Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is associated with nasopharyngeal lymphoepithelioma and certain types of lymphoma. We studied the presence EBV in Japanese patients esophageal gastric carcinomas. polymerase chain reaction was used for detection DNA, situ hybridization latent infection, immunohistochemical studies were EBV-encoded membrane protein formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded surgical specimens. Positive reactions shown two 31 cases carcinoma one 30 carcinoma; these detected by all above methods only tissue morphologic features three included undifferentiated a lymphoid stroma; very similar to those nasopharynx. A negative demonstrated each other 29 carcinoma. results suggest that or stroma, just as it lymphoepithelioma.
