Factor structure of the Spanish version of the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 in Mexican women.

摘要: Structure of the Spanish version nine-item Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) has been inconclusive. We report factor structure PHQ-9 in 55,555 women from Mexican Teachers' Cohort (MTC). Factor was assessed by exploratory and confirmatory analyses two sub-samples (n = 27,778 27,777 respectively). A one-factor model solution with best fit to data, exhibiting strong loadings (0.71 0.90) high internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha 0.89). prevalence rate moderate severity depressive symptoms 12.6% identified. Results suggest that a global score is an appropriate measure commend use as depression for research clinical purposes.
