摘要: Mutational spectra analysis of 15 immunoglobulin genes suggested that consensus motifs RGYW and WA were universal descriptors somatic hypermutation. Highly mutable sites, “hotspots”, matched preferentially found in one DNA strand hotspots both strands. Analysis base-substitution polymerase error showed 33 36 the human η spectrum conformed to consensus. This four other characteristics substitution specificity suggest errors introduced by this enzyme during synthesis nontranscribed variable regions may contribute strand-specific hypermutagenesis at A-T base pairs.
